I love working within our school community and appreciate all of the ways that our diversity is essential to our learning. A large part of my role is providing support for students that may be struggling academically, socially, emotionally, and/or behaviorally. This includes students that receive special education services. I also get the opportunity to co-advise two leadership groups in 7th and 8th grade, including Student Ambassadors and Youth Participatory Evaluation (YPE).
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. In my time away from school, I enjoy new experiences and those things that have always given me comfort including time with family/friends, reading, art, and regular visits to my favorite city (beyond Mpls) of New Orleans.
My guiding motto: When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.
